Meet Dr. Chibuzo Efuribe, DNP, PMHNP

Dr. Chibuzo Efuribe DNP, FNP, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health/Family Nurse Practitioner

With over 13 years of experience spanning family medicine and psychiatry, Dr. Efuribe has dedicated her career to helping others rise above life’s difficulties and realize their full potential — personally and professionally.

Her clinical path began at Howard University, where she earned her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. But it was her personal journey — witnessing and navigating mental health struggles within her own family — that sparked a deeper calling. She realized that true healing goes beyond physical symptoms; it begins in the mind and spirit.

Motivated by this insight, she pursued her Doctorate at George Washington University, focusing her research on depression in underserved communities. Her study explored how web-based educational interventions could improve mental health literacy and help-seeking behaviors among women. The results were clear —  many experienced mental health challenges silently but awareness and access to care made a significant difference.

This revelation fueled her passion further, leading her to obtain a Post-Doctorate Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts Global.

Today, Dr. Efuribe blends medical expertise with lived experience, offering compassionate, evidence-based mental health care and coaching. Her mission is simple: To empower you to rise above the challenges, reconnect with hope and flourish.
